Inspiration Project: August Sanders II

August Sanders was a visionary and capturer. He would try to capture scenes that would truly show those current times. He was born in Germany, his father was a carpenter and he also worked at a mine. He took art classes that allowed him to use photography creatively and also he shadowed a photographer. He lived through both world wars and his dark room was destroyed in a bomb raid. Everything he lived through shaped him and his photo taking style, with his pictures he would show all different types of people; Tall, short, fat, skinny, old, young, rich and poor. He showed the current situation of the times and he also try to re-image the German people to the world.

At first I didn't see the big deal in Mr. Sanders' work, but then i read what it all meant and it took me back a few feet. The way he tried t reconstruct the german people and the way he tried to capture his current times. Even though in the majority of his pictures the people were super serious it just added a different element to everything. He motivated me to show people  what is happening today and right now. He showed me how he carved his legacy so I can pave mine.

- I learned how to improve my angel of stance in any photo I  take, how to frame someone to make a viewpoint more interesting and also how to be more "out there" and creative. I shouldn't be scared to get the perfect shot, if it's in my head it can happen

Rule of the thirds - Family photos

I Think I did i pretty good job, considering I didn't have much time. If I had more time it would have been a little better, but I think I did fine.

Camera Review

With the Canon T3i everybody says the same thing, its an excellent camera, except for one thing, when you try to burst shoot while recording video the camera glitches up. Which won't  be a problem because we will be only shooting photos and no videos, so theoretically we're golden.

My Five Pictures.

I took this photo because I like the pose and the filter I chose.

The lighting and the filter in this photo made it really ominous and dramatic.

Pop art is a cool art form because of its obvious diversity against regular art forms, if there is a regular art form...

I guess in my book Black&White is coming back. Anything in Black&White is classy in my book.

At the end of my "photo shoot" I decided to have a little fun with these wacky filters the photo booth features in these computers offer.

(first assignment) What I saw in the light.

You'd think we've all seen light, and I guess we have, but have you actually observed it? Looking and observing are two completely different things. What I saw was how a difference in light temperature can change your view, or what you're seeing completely. Light, its an under appreciated necessity we need.
